EDUCATION COOPETION WITH KKTC WILL GRADUALLY INCREASE

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk met with Minister of National Education and Culture of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Olgun Amcaoğlu during Olgun's visit to Ankara. Stressing that despite the problems that surfaced during the pandemic, his Ministry had the opportunity to cooperate in education during this period, Minister Selçuk said, "Our joint projects especially the joint use of EBA will continue."

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk hosted Minister of National Education and Culture of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus Olgun Amcaoğlu in his office and thanked him and his delegation for their kind visit.
 
Expressing his happiness to consult and exchange views about the future of education with his counterpart, Minister Selçuk said main topics of the meeting were vocational education, preschool education as well as the problems that occurred due to the pandemic.
 
"The Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus and Cypriots have a special place in our heart," stated Selçuk, "We have managed to initiate important cooperation projects as a result of our mutual visits and contacts. I have full confidence that this dialogue process will gradually grow and form the basis of new cooperation opportunities. As a result of these contacts we have opened the Education Information Network (EBA) to the use of students of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus."
 
Stressing that development of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus has reached an admirable level despite the restrictions from the international platform, Ziya Selçuk said that Amcaoğlu's visit was important for the development of joint projects. Minister Selçuk added that his Ministry will keep taking required steps in an effort to reinforce of the education infrastructure of the KKTC.
 
Meanwhile, Minister Amcaoğlu stressed joint plans in the field of education during the pandemic was very productive adding that he will be happy to continue to cooperate in the upcoming new normal process.
