FIRST OPEN ACCESS WORKSHOP OF THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL EDUCATION FOUNDED IN ANKARA

First open access workshop of the Ministry of National Education which can be used by all citizens was founded in Ankara. The workshop supported by the Ankara Development Agency was set up inside the Keçiören Kanuni Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School."

The number of digital fabrication laboratories which was designed as open access workshops and known as Fab-labs among the public is on the rise throughout the world. There are a total of 11 such workshops in Turkey. The Ministry of National Education has founded its first fab-lab and opened it free for public use.
 
Equipment and machines in the workshop are not only open for students but also for the people who have limited resources.
 
The open access workshop which was established inside Keçiören Kanuni Vocational and Technical Anatolia High School will provide training programs in various different fields such as Arduino based programming, text based robotic coding, NodeMCU and IoT, python programming, design with 3D printer, basic level Stem, Autodesk fusion 360 and fundamental electronics.
 
Deputy Minister of National Education Mahmut Özer visited the workshop and received information about its activities from the school administrators. Director General for Vocational and Technical Education Kemal Varın Numanoğlu, Provincial Director of National Education in Ankara Turan Akpınar, Deputy Director Bedri Ekşi and school administrators accompanied Özer during his visit.
