Minister of National Education paid a visit to Van Governor İbrahim Taşyapan at his office.30.12.2015 21:31
Minister Avcı said in a statement that the Ministry of National Education had been organizing meetings in various different cities of the country. Provincial and regional education directors from 15 different cities as well as inspectors will be participating in the meeting held in Van. Minister Avcı noted that a similar meeting was held previously in the Marmara region.

Minister Avcı: "We convene regional and provincial education directors as well as education inspectors in order to discuss issues concerning certain themes. We will have a meeting with regional and provincial education directors of 15 different cities, branch administrators and inspectors in Van, tomorrow. We will be providing information about the activities of the Ministry and future projects and they will be providing us with feedback.”
Noting that the meeting is designed to be a widely participated workshop, Minister Avcı said he will listen to issues and solution offers of some 200 educational directors and administrators.
“Governors will decide about the holiday due to weather conditions”
Answering a question put by a journalist about the prospects of schools being closed due to heavy rain fall, Minister Avcı said, “Governors evaluate the weather conditions of their own cities. Local administrations make the call to close schools due to weather conditions. But, I believe that there is no reason to close the schools in Van, today.”
Following the visit, Minister Avcı visited the new service building of the Provincial Education Directorate.
