It was announced in the Guide Book on Transition Formalities on Preferences and Placements in Secondary Education Institutions for the 2014-2015 school year that the Basic Placement Scores (YEP) would be announced on June 24. However, due to the ongoing court cases filed against some of the questions at the second term tests the announcement was delayed and after the court rulings the results have now been announced.

On June 26, 2015 the 12th Administrative Court declared the question no.11 in the English section of the D Booklet as void. According to a ruling of the 8th Department of the Council of State no. 2014/2083 the replies of all students were deemed correct and thus the overall scores of 1 million 287 thousand and 947 students were reevaluated. Their scores for the 8th grade year end success scores and the Basic Placement Scores were re-calculated.

Our students will be able to apply to the preference and placement guidance commissions in provinces for placement and preference information. The Ministry has charged 7 thousand 328 teachers at schools across the country to provide guidance for schools preferences and placements. Our students will be able to make 25 choices for schools between July 6 and 16, 2015. Students will have to make any changes in the preferences before handing it to the schools administrations as once the preferences are approved by the school principals the preferences will be final.

Once the preference formalities are completed placement results and vacant contingencies will be announced on August 14, 2015. Switching over through the placement system will be between August 17 and 21, between August 24 and 28 and between August 31 and September 4.

The results are out in the www.meb.gov.tr and teog2015.meb.gov.tr sites.

We respectfully inform the public.
