TEACHER ZİYA INAUGURATED THE "ANATOLIA TALES ANKARA FAIRY TALE HOME"

Minister of National Education Ziya Selçuk inaugurated the "Anatolia Tales Ankara Fairy Tale Home" at the Keçiören district of Ankara. Minister Selçuk listened to fairy tales and played traditional games with children and said "We will achieve an epic transition in Turkey through fairy tale homes"

Minister Selçuk stressed in his speech at the opening ceremony of the "Anatolia Tales Ankara Fairy Tale Home" that fairy tales play a major role in the Turkish culture heritage.
 
Noting that they had the opportunity to establish a real and sincere bond with children though fairy tale homes, Selçuk reminded that more than 300 thousand children learned detailed information about Anatolian and Dede Korkut tales as a part of this project.
 
Selçuk said teachers had the chance to adopt a new approach in teaching after they learned fairy tales and added: "when we consider all these points, the joy of our children and teachers at fairy tale homes creates totally different emotions. We will disseminate fairy tale homes and we will achieve an epic transformation in Turkey through fairy tale homes." 
 
He stated that in addition to fairy tale narrating, fairy tale homes are a ground for traditional games and skill workshops for children.
 
Following his speech, he inaugurated the fairy tale home.
 
Selçuk listened to fairy tales with children
Teacher Ziya listened to fairy tales narrated by teacher Gönül Akın with children and accompanied children who were playing at the garden of the fairy tale home. He played traditional games with children and listened to children who were playing instruments in the music workshop.
